Horton Plains National Park is a protected area situated in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, near the town of Nuwara Eliya, at an altitude ranging from 2,100 to 2,300 meters (6,900 to 7,550 feet) above sea level. Covering approximately 3,160 hectares, it is known for its cool climate, unique biodiversity, and stunning landscapes, including cloud forests, grasslands, and waterfalls.
The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the highest plateaus in Sri Lanka, often described as a “misty plateau” offering breathtaking views.
